I am too damn old to be in a piano recital. 36 year olds don't belong in piano recitals. I knew this would happen. I just wanted to bring music back into my life and take advantage of the wonderful instrument in our dinning room, so I decided to take lessons from my children’s piano teacher during my lunch hour on the Thursdays I was home.
Now, not only am I supposed to play two songs in the next recital (I’m wondering if I will go before or after my 6 year old – who will sound better) I have been told I have to cut off my nails a month before the recital. What is up with that?? I love my girly nails. Plus now I have to actually practice. It is all very problematic.
