Be good

Chuck's mom just came down to bring him the Sunday paper. When she was getting ready to go the kids decided they really wanted to go home with her for a bit. I hugged my daughter, said I would come get her shortly and then asked her if she was going to be good for Grandma.

"I don't know... " she said.

"YES. YOU DO," I replied not entirely sure if she was kidding.

Right after she left, the mother of her close friend Ryland called asked if she could come pick up Samantha at Joyce's and have her come play for a couple hours. I called Samantha at Grandma's and spoke to her and asked that she "Please be good."

"Maybe," Sam said.

Although I know she thinks she is funny, she's probably also trying to tell me to stop nagging her about being good.
