I woke up at 5 this morning to go out and dig holes in the sand. The pretense was that I was razor clamming. In three hours of looking for "dimples" in the sand, and quickly digging around those dimples I managed to harvest one razor clam. At my current salary, that clam meat is worth approximately $500/lb. Mikki's advice is that I keep my day job.

Chris, who told me where on the beach to dig for my bounty, suggested that I fry the solo clam up and divide it to bits, served with toothpicks to my family. He's feeling smug, I guess, since he managed to bring home two clams to his family.
