At Samantha's request, I came home tonight with boxed Valentines and candy to distribute to her classmates. Charlie hadn't asked, so just to prevent another store run, I grabbed some I thought he might think were cool too. A combination of make your own sports games valentines and Gummy Rings with little phrases on them.
When I got home, I asked Charlie if he still intended to give out Valentines. (He DID last year). Charlie snorted and laughed and said, "NO MOM. I'd have to give one to like 400 kids." I told him I thought he could just hand them over to his buddies, like Nick.
This made him laugh even harder... "Sure," he said, "I can hand it over and say, 'Here Nick, Be Mine.' "
