Mighty Fishing Girl!

It was huge big fun to go fishing with my San Diego team members. The views were spectacular - we were on the boat at sunset. And the birds, attracted to our bait were just too cool. Problems when Engineers go fishing - a.) Not sea hearty. At least five people were hanging over the edge at one time or another loosing lunch. I seemed to have sealegs from the crabbing in Tillamook, cause it didn't bother me. b.) Small fish. I pulled 6 in, so was feeling pretty good about my ability to hook them, but never had any I could keep. This may have been agrivated by the fact that the silly engineers kept hurling the bait at the birds, rather than hooking it on their lines.
I was newly charmed by this area. My previous exposure has been taking 805N from the aiport to my office - and going out to dinner after dark. La Jolla, Downtown and the Ocean Sunset were all mesmorizing. I'm determined to get the kids down there with one of these trips and share it with them.

I gotta quit screwin' around and get back to practicing the pinao. Deb played Christmas carols with her daughter at the Mundorff family party this year - and it just was awesome to see them play together. As Sammie would say, "I like it, I love it, I want some more of it."
That'll be you and me someday baby girl. Posted by Picasa
A couple of times a month, I find myself up at our lot on Wapiti Way. I think I go just to celebrate the "mine-ness" of it. And to enjoy the view - in all directions! Posted by Picasa

I was in a phone meeting with the office this afternoon, when the particpants said there was a loud crash. Trees falling on cars will do that. Wendell - one of our resident photograph experts was onsite with a camera. Posted by Picasa
Guess things got pretty exciting at the office today. This is one wet, windy state. Posted by Picasa

I would love to know how it is that I get on a mailing list that asks me (as a Black Single) if I am tired of being single, being lonely and wanting someone to talk to.

The email assures me that:

658 black singles in your area are waiting for a chance to meet and
chat with you today.

(in Tillamook? I am slowly learning love my little coastal cow town - but I cannot celebrate it a great place to meet black singles, which is a complete bummer for me -as a black single).
Should I feel sorry for all the other mother's out there who's kids aren't as good looking as mine? Posted by Picasa
Just slightly scary that I thought this roadside scene was "pretty." Have I been in Tillamook too long?? Posted by Picasa

Here's a sunset spotted on the return trip from the Seaside basketball shoe expedition.

Charlie and I pulled over at the viewpoint to grab a few pictures and visited with a couple of Australian college age guys also watching the sunset. We were quite impressed when we watched them open the hood of their car and pull out a frozen pizza box open it and start eating a partially "cooked" pizza. They said it wasn't quite warm enough - they should have driven another 100 miles or so.

t..m...i

So it seems that we need to work on phone etiquette. Chris (of Christ I’m Chuck fame) just called to setup some sort of practice nonsense for tomorrow night. Rock the Barn rehearsals as I understand it…
Any ways – my son picks up the phone – and tells Chris that his father is unavailable.

“Oh hi Chris. Pa can’t come to the phone right now, he’s upstairs on the toilet.”
